After a great Thanksgiving weekend, it’s back to the old routine again.
Today it’s lemon cupcakes…
…from the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. I went with the lemon curd filling, so basically it’s as if I took a piece of lemon pie and wrapped it in cake. Now I’m wondering what else I can wrap in cake.
I’m also working on a wreath made of pompoms for the front door. It’s leaving my living room floor a bit of a wreck…







Did you finish the pom pom wreath? What a nice idea for all those odds and ends skeins! What method do you use for making pom poms?
It was a definite stash buster. For the big floppy ones I wrapped around my finger and thumb, but for the smaller ones I used a ring shaped pompom maker. It made perfectly round ones, but size was limited. You can see it here – here
